If this is true, then I will not jump on blaming the local chapter. ChiO's nationals is crazy, AOPi's national's is crazy, and without naming my own chapter, I know for a fact my nationals is crazy too.

National Panhellenic is so behind the times its not even funny. The whole ChiO decision seems like it was made in 1960. Not in the modern era where ADULT educated women should have the freedom to choose how they want to express themselves on social media, regardless of how racy their posts may be.

@initforher...Don't think we need to wait until 2018 to bash any of the NPCs as if you set up a simple goole alert for sorority/fraternity probation you will see all of the NPCs show up. It's interesting though that some show up more than others and that's when its fun to look at the comparative craziness of the different NPCs! DDD has been on a roll over the last 2 years and has done some major house sweeping and closing but so has Theta, XO and Kappa. My point is that no house is safe from the craziness of the 'far away' national. I think the only thing saving Cal is that the University so far hasn't seemed to be very interested in the system vs other schools where the school involvement and oversight is major. Here the oversight is a joke so many things slide. Most nationals don't seem to care that a chapter has been on campus for 100+ years and has tons of alums and they will cut and run at the first major infraction. I hear the comment on risk management issues and this is a real issue for sure. But, these NPCs are fighting for their survival and frankly most don't understand or care to understand the new world of social media and freedom of expression as they are satisfied living in their 1950s dream worlds. The sad thing is that they are protected from reality by their status as private organizations. I too have a crazy out of touch national and feel like its talking to Mars in a foreign language every time we have an issue. Seeing how they operate though has me questioning whether Cal needs all or any of these NPCs or is the DS way of operating our future and possibly better for us all as members? If the national offered tons of value add to our chapter I could swallow their kool aid, but just don't see what they bring to the table? Curious what others think about this as the more I see the more I just want to bail once I'm a sr.
