nobody wanted me
by: sadSeeing all my friends in sororities going tailgating with their sisters while I got cut by most of the sororities the second day of recruitment (with only 3 parties left). Alone in the dorm while most of my friends have their new sisters. I feel so heartbroken. I came into college hoping to find a new family and sisterhood but now I'm left with no friends or social life. Nobody else wants to go to the games or to tailgate. I don't mean to whine or complain but I really am sad.

You're not the only one who isn't in a sorority. Meet friends in your dorm who also aren't part of Greek life and get people together to head to the game and tailgate with you before! College doesn't have to be boring just because you aren't in a sisterhood - there are many more people who aren't Greek than people who are, you just have to find them :) I'm sure you could also tag along with your friends who are in a sorority and meet some of their sisters and game day with them to make more friends!

Not sure if OP is real or not but if its real then I suggest following some of the excellent advice in various threads on here and MEET people. Follow all the houses on social media and attend events when you can. There were some great events this week and fantastic food! Events sell out quickly so jump on things as soon as you see the posts. Events aren't usually expensive at all and its a great way to meet people in the houses and support some wonderful causes. I would also suggest going out of your way to meet people and attend events at the houses you seemed to dismiss during formal recruitment. Those houses are now all filled will some very happy and involved pledges who are having alot of fun! Our system is so much more than 2-3 houses and you can tell so much about individual houses by seeing who is active on campus. The houses that are involved and active typically aren't on here posting and ranking other houses down at all.
