pref and bid
by: FFRWhat houses did you pref and what house did you end up getting a bid at? Also, what ended up being the average pledge class size given that 1 one the houses didnt take any new members?

Pref'd Kappa and APhi! I chose APhi as my number one and got a bid from them! So happy with my decision, as many girls in Kappa came off as fake on pref night and now I know that their whole house is literally friends of friends LOL . they are all the same and there isn't even diversity in personality in that house.

I preffed APhi and DG and went APhi! Super hard decision because I absolutely LOVE all the girls in DG but I'm sooo happy at APhi :) I love Berkeley Greek life because I honestly have friends in every house and I've never felt like the fact that we're in different sororities has any kind of negative effect on our friendship. It was so hard to choose because I loved all the girls I met and every sorority has something great about it but I definitely found the right place for me. Congrats to everyone who found their new home away from home! Cal Greek life ROCKS <3

I pref PiPhi and DG and went PiPhi. Very very happy. I was a 3rd generation Kappa legacy and was really sad to be cut day 1 from Kappa but I rolled with the process. I liked many houses and its great because on my floor we have people in 4 different houses which makes things fun. Process was stressful and what was sad was that more people on my floor didn't get bids or were totally cut than ended up getting bids. Some very sad people here in the dorm for sure. Hope this system can be fixed as honestly recruitment this year sounded worse than what happened last year.

interesting that kappa cut you day 1, from what i remember it's required or at least highly suggested to keep legacies into day 2

it is way too early to be concerning yourself with other houses. you just entered greek life and you should make up your own mind about the other houses with time and actual experience, not greek rank. enjoy alpha phi, you have a lot of great new girls to be friends with. hopefully you joined because you like the girls, not just because kkg was "fake"
