My roommate is in GPB. They did not participate in FFR and did not take in new members: focusing on sisterhood first.

So I totally thought this was a troll but their social media is strange rn. why would their chapter post a pic of a group of their actives with no new members and talk about having fun with their sisters (no mention of NEW sisters). On a day thats all about the new members the post makes it seems like they have none? Also one of their actives posted the same picture with something along the lines of being resilient? Their posts gave this troll some life.

They didn't participate in recruitment, likely they were either instructed or advised by their chapter advisors not to participate.
Honestly, GPB shouldn't participate in recruitment. They chapter is too small and they recruit 3 to 1. As a result, They always get leftover girls in the fall. They''re better off COB-inf their whole pledge class to get girls they actually want. Or for Panhellenic to dismiss them for a stronger sorority.

It's not new info. Just speculation. Anyone with eyes can see Gamma Phi is the smallest chapter.

Given the cost of housing and the generally un-Greek atmosphere of Cal, it is very very unlikely another sorority would want to take the risk on starting a new chapter here.
This sounds more like GPhi nationals stepping in to restructure the chapter, maybe quickly, maybe over several years.
Chances are if they are closed, they will have first shot to come back on campus, as they own their house and have a huge number of alums in the Bay Area.
I am sad for them, but hope they can get turned around.

Gamma phi did recruitment?? I didn't like them but they kept calling me back and I went to their pref party?? Now genuinely confused because I suicide bidded another house and I didn't get a bid so I'm really confused now can someone please explain why they decided to go through recruitment but not do bid day??

@dude has one of the most on point posts of the day! Brava! We got over 50 pledges and while we put a brave face on it, in our hearts we knew it totally sucks and sucks big time. We are going to spend the year killing each other to get enough points to live in and even then there will be a lottery. We should start a new hashtag #panhelsucks!
