yes, i know people who have gotten them in the past, but they're very rare - basically if a chapter doesn't hit pledge class quota they might snap bid

They are tricky and there are specific rules for them. If you have a bid from a house I don't think you can get a snap bid from another one. I WOULD NOT EXPECT TO GET A SNAP BID AT ALL!!!

If you've made it this far, your best/only chance to get in a house is to finish the process. If you've been dropped by everyone after maximizing your options, then you could ask your RC to be put on a snap bid list I suppose. BUT, this means a house that already dropped you would change their mind and pick you up. Snap bid scan go to anyone else even someone who didn't rush so a house might prefer to go that route.

Ask your RC if you are interested. Some RCs have been trying to get clarification on snap issue now for 2 days and have no idea of status. But its always worth asking.

Did anyone hear anything about snaps? Also heard there were many suicide bids that were shut out. Not sure what the future holds but all the issues in our system with this recruitment can't be good.

Don't bank on it. Gamma Phi screwed over the greek system by being petty and not taking new members so now we all have 50+. Chances are no one has any extra bits.

I don't understand how under the rules GPhi could just bag out at the last minute. My understanding is they did do pref? How could this be permitted to happen with no repercussions? We are totally mad about huge class and now to find out it happened because of this situation is enraging. Who the hell is steering this ship of fools? We need professional management and advisors and the removal of whoever is supposed to be in charge as their performance has been totally substandard.
