a little advice for freshmen frat rushees
by: calbearThere is this idea going around that the top houses party more or something. As a guy in a mid tier frat, I am having a hard time keeping up with the amount of things we do during rush and prerush. We literally party every single day its exhausting. Our social calendar is full this year.It really comes down to how much your social chair networks. For example Fiji is a house that is often listed as a top house but they rarely have parties. Theta Chi is a house that is usually listed as mid tier or lower but they party often.

Bigger picture overall is to talk to girls about what frats they actually go to. Ask your older sisters, former schoolmates, etc. Everyone can throw down during welcome week but when it comes to actually having a social calendar it takes cooperation from PHC houses and other frats. Top and middle houses usually are top and middle for a reason and lower houses often socially struggle or just are not as established to have successful social events during the year.
