recruitment manual posted
by: earJust breezed through the new manual and not too different vs last year. Thought app idea was an interesting creative one but still wish there was a static version on the panhel website vs online version in the cloud. What are people thinking about the app? I have mixed thoughts.... BRILLIANT or BOMB? Still no real explanation though of the details of 'self selection' process that so tripped up PNMs last year. The info is out there SO WHAT IS THE BIG SECRET and WHY NOT FULLY EXPLAIN IT TO PNMs?

Mmmm. Someone spent alot of time trying to get it together and there is some good information. But wonder if it was a rush job to get finished? Some of the sections seem to be missing information. Kinda like the app concept but will see if the app holds up to recruitment volume. Wish the rush violations section contained examples and do and don't. The entire concept of three strikes and you are out is important and think it needs much more explanation than is present in first version of the app. I also wish the role of the recruitment counselor was explained as last year I'm not sure PNMs truly understood what or how this person could or more importantly could not help them. Entire issue of probation and what this means was brushed under the carpet which I think honestly does the entire system a disservice and certainly doesn't help PNMs. Think the decision to not address probation will actually hurt us all as there will be rumors and gossip vs facts to consider and in the end PNMs might just not understand what is going on an not consider a house that should be on their list.

Agree with probation issue. As a PNM I am totally confused. I have friends from HS that were in XO and were asked to leave but I have also heard good things about the house from other friends that remain. Very confusing. Don't think I want a local only house either so just these 2 issues knocks out 2 houses. I am a DG legacy but have reservations based on things I've heard. No easy answers. Will try to hang with the process as long as I can but not having info coming from the recruitment guide isn't too encouraging. Hopefully these issues will be discussed in orientation.
