can i wear a crop top to recruitment?

I wear a lot of crop tops and have my navel pierced; would it be better to dress more conservatively during recruitment?

This string of advice is ridiculous. Wear what you want. I'm a senior in a "middle" ranked house, plus have served on our recruitment board, and never in all my years of recruitment has a PNM's clothing factored into our membership decisions; in fact, it's literally never even discussed. You do you, and if a casual unity day outfit means crop top to you that's great, and if a formal pref night outfit means a dress with a bit of cleavage that's fine too. Honestly I don't understand why you would tone down your personality; dress like you and the right house won't judge you for it/ might even love you for it.

Interesting take on 'being you' and connecting that to 'being ok' in recruitment. There is no getting around the idea that image and presentation are important. Sure most houses don't sit around talking about individual outfits (unless something outrageous comes along) but people do make snap judgments about people based on the surface package. So @givemeabreak if you think the image isn't important then I guess we disagree.
