junior transfer rushing

by:

As a transfer I'm thinking about rushing but what is it like as a junior? Do I have the same chances as a freshman or will I just be stuck with bottom houses as my choices? Rankings don't really matter to me but I do want to at least have a chance at joining any of the houses and from what I've heard anyone who isn't a freshman doesn't get into any of the houses that are more "fun" or socialize more. I'm looking for sisterhood but also a way to meet new people at a new university, and I worry that I won't have that equal chance as freshman do. If you've rushed as a sophomore/junior please comment!

quotas for junior transfers aren't as high as freshmen obviously, but you have a better chance than sophomores (so ur about middle of the road)

I rushed as a junior transfer and was so happy I did it, I met a lot of other junior transfers during rush as well and we all ended up in houses we were happy with. I won't say where I ended up, but I was invited back to 8 houses on day two, 6 houses on day 3, and ended up in my 2nd choice of house. It's obviously not as easy and rushing as a freshman but I think my chances where better than any other non freshman. I also feel that being a little older, I felt more confident than I would have as a freshman and was better at talking to people lol.

odds are in ur favor as sororitys want to take in junior transfers to supplement the girls that dropped as freshmen or sophomores. plus there are less junior transfers rushing in general so opting into rush is a good choice
