these are questions we incoming freshman have for
by: RushingFreshman2017
The incoming freshman have started a group chat for those of us who are considering rushing and we were wondering if you all could answer the following questions to the best of your ability to give us some insight. These were the most asked questions in the chat: Which sorority and frat houses would you say are top houses? Could you rank both the sorority and fraternity houses? Which house do you think has the most fun? Which houses venture out and events the most? Are there any academic requirements for particular sororities and fraternities?
Which houses are the most diverse? What philanthropy work does each fraternity or sorority particular associate with? What should we expect for rush week, for girls and for guys? Any other advice? Answering anything would help

honestly just stalk the discussion section and you'll find the answers to all of there. not the authority but real fast, the generally accepted order goes something like kappa, pi phi, a phi, DG, chi o, ADPi, Sigma Kappa, Tri Delt, Delta sigma (new kind of), zeta, theta, g phi b. for fraternities it gets tricky but goes KA, Zete/SAE, Fiji, DKE, Sig Chi, then gets murky with solid houses but slightly lower like ATO, Phi Psi, Chi Phi, Pike, Pi Kap, etc then another dip and theres so many after that. Every house has fun, you'll get the feel for who goes out more or are more academic when you rush. The academic requirements are normally about a 2.7 I believe? Not sure actually, but I've never heard of someone getting kicked out because of grades. You'll see diversity and learn about philo in rush.
