guide for incoming freshman
by: yourewelcomeThe key for every incoming freshman is finding the right house, regardless of rank. Hopefully these descriptions will help them narrow down their rush options by what seems like the right fit. These are the general descriptions, every house is varied and has guys who are exceptions.

KA:
KA is by far the best affiliated house. They’re seen as the white surfer bro house, and typically viewed as more gentlemany/ soft than the other top houses. They’ve consistently thrown the most parties this past year. Like Zete and SAE when they throw a party all of the top sororities go for the most part. They’re a pretty big house with a solidly diverse group of guys. If you’re looking for nice guys then you’ve found the right place. KA ‘s are most commonly the surfer from SoCal who sometimes doesn’t have a whole lot of texture but is super nice. Although they definitely have some very sick guys. They are typically pretty academically inclined, and have a lot of really smart guys. They have a nice house that’s solid for gamedays with the only drawback being it isn’t in a great location. They’re friends with all the good sororities, but are typically just that: friends.

DKE: is probably viewed as the frattiest frat. They throw a ton of parties, and are almost always seen playing die in their lawn. DKE and KA threw by far the most parties last semester. Their house isn’t great for gamedays since it lacks a courtyard, but their gamedays are solid nonetheless. Because they’re unaffiliated they can throw wine Wednesdays and regularly do. However, when they throw parties or Wine Wednesdays on the same night as SAE, the hottest girls typically choose SAE. Although they all kinda look like meatheads there are some pretty intelligent good guys. They’re probably closest with Alpha Phi. They’re in a really good location on the corner of Bancroft and Piedmont.

GUYS LISTEN UP. This is it. I completely agree with the ranking, everything said. Up to date and real. Even the houses that i have more negative/more positive opinions of, can't argue with what they said. Figure out from this which houses you think could be a good match, then kill it in rush

Thats why typically we dont throw parties on the same day because we both let guys from dke and sae into eachothers houses. So ya know we can both get at all those hot girls.
