which houses actually have a sisterhood?
by: looking to rushI party moderately and have been told I am hot. I would like to join a house in the spring that has a real sisterhood. No cattyness please!

The lower ranked the house, the better the sisterhood, traditionally. GPhi and Theta are known to have the best programming: big little weeks are supposed to be AMAZING (TONS of gifts) and I know GPhi and Theta have had better house retreats/bid days (White water rafting, ice skating, as opposed to Kappa's trip to a Moroccan restaurant/belly dancing). SK and DDD are known to be the most Catty. Kappa and Pi Phi dont do spring recruitment either. Also, you could always join Zeta, but who knows how that will turn out.

Chi O took in 3 people last spring: AWKWARD pledge class size... AXO is WAY up the hill, and they dont do anything. I'd join Theta or GPhi or DDD over AXO for location, and involvement and sisterhood. APhi and SK are REALLY catty. AOII is pretty fake, but APhi is honestly the worst of all worlds: catty, fake, mean, dont let certain sisters wear letters, etc.

Yeah it's pretty much common knowledge now that aphi only lets pretty girls represent their house, that includes who wears letters, who can go to invites/events, and which girls are shown in the photos on their websites. Aphi is

Theta, GPhi and XO have the best sisterhoods. Theta probably more so: they dont party at frats, but they go out to bars together ALL the time. APhi, Pi Phi, ADPi and DDD have the worst sisterhoods. AXO is average: their big little week is no where near impressive as Theta or GPhi's. And XO girls travel in packs all the time. SK as a WHOLE isnt very tight, but they have cliques that are.

That is what a sad GDI would say. If you think that going Greek is paying for friends then you have a severe (probably intentional) misunderstanding of the Greek system and economics (parties, shirts, philanthropy, houses cost money stupid). Most of my unaffiliated friends don't have a solid friend group at all and barely hang out with any of the same people two years in a row.

But I'm sure the dorm "party" you had where you paid your sketchy neighbor who's still living in the dorms at 21 for some reason, an inflated price to acquire alcohol for, is just as fun as the epic parties we routinely have.

Aphi and pi phi are known for bad sisterhood. Theta, GphiB and DDD have the best. Their littles get presents every day for week and then get more presents once they're initiated. All three houses have a lot of sisterhood events. My friend in tridelt went bowling, laser tagging and to jump sky high last semester alone, and went to waterworld and skydiving so far this year. I know theta has also gone bowling and laser tagging. Don't know what events Gphi has done specifically. Also have never heard of cattiness between these houses or cliques

^agreed. all the bottom houses have great sisterhoods but if you want sororities that party and have great relationships with good frats, i would go for upper middle houses like chi omega or adpi
