why do people care so much about greek ranking?

because the majority of people in the greek system are still stuck in that high school popularity contest mentality, sadly

Because people rank things, it's our natural tendency.

It's just like how Uc berkeley is better than cal state Fullerton or how the heat is better than the jazz

The unfortunate truth of the situation is that the top houses get the best looking girls. They get them at exchanges, invites, bagos, everything. The lower ranked houses do not get the same quality of social life. Is it fair? No, but neither is life. If you think rankings and cliques don't exist in the real world, you are sorely mistaken, and if you need proof, try to get a VIP table at Marquee...
