thought alpha phi was supposedly a top sorority???

I guess Alpha Phi has been offering bids to girls and having a dinner party or something. If they were a top house you wouldn't think they would have to be offering bids around

Alpha phi is not top they are middle. The we're bottom like 3-5 years ago so a lot of the older students still see them as a lower house but they've moved to middle.

If they are doing that it means they didn't meet quota and it's a less desirable house

Its called contiguous open bidding they had a bad recruitment and needed more girls since not enough accepted their bids/ranked them number one.

yeah they did bad one of the older girls told me half the girls they wanted dropped them for chi o

it doesn't necessarily mean they didn't meet quota. Pledge classes were really small this year and if they had a lot of seniors graduate last year or people leave, then they could have met quota during recruitment and still have room for more members as a part of chapter total.
