dirty rushing rumors
by: ConfusedDidn't really hear much about dirty rushing during recruitment but now that it's over, I've been hearing a lot about it. Any examples?? Honestly didn't think this was a thing at berkeley

Read thru the comments and you will get a taste of what was done. I think all the recruitment paperwork should be made public as the situation seemed so badly handled and really wrong on so many levels. The stories of the minority ladies were really sad to hear about as nobody should be made to go through a process and feel as angry as some of them. I'm seriously questioning whether to activate but I will give it some time and vote with my feet if I'm uncomfortable. I have to say though that communication isn't great about all of this and that is disconcerting.

Not sure if this counts exactly as dirty rushing, but several girls in my house & I all had similar experiences at AXO where they said things like "i've heard really great things about you" or "the girls here have been talking about you all week" before dropping ups the next night. I thought it was genuine when the chapter president told me she heard great things about me since nobody from any of the other houses said anything like this, but later found out that's because it's against the rules lol.

Yes that is against the rules but with social media these days it's impossible to say where people have heard of you or what they have heard. All it takes is a public social media account and it's easy to find out tons about someone. Note to future pnms to clean up their accounts and make them private.
In my house the feeling was that rush was over after the first event or maybe second. It was a strange feeling and made me uncomfortable. Now that the topic is buzzing I feel even worse.
