kappa and pi phi?

Can someone please explain to me the difference between kappa and pi phi? I'm just confused. Any time someone talks about them or ranks them it's always kappa before pi phi but the houses seem almost identical to me... I went through rush this year and dropped on philo but after visiting the houses multiple times they seem to have a similar make up of girls appearance, personality, and major wise...:do they differ in reputation or what?

All of Greek life is more similar than it is different but in my opinion the differences between the two houses are slight. Kappa has (historically) been a rank above but really the only major differences are the type of philanthropy events, the layout of their houses, and pi phi is a bit more sporty. Pi phi also is a bit rowdier. But both are great houses.

Not true. Pi phi has long been considered better than kappa. There was a long time from 90s to 00s in which Pi phi and tri delt were top 2. Kappa was a solid 5th below dg and adpi.
