sorority underage drinking??
by: FreshRushHey I am thinking about rushing in the fall. I heard some sororities drink a lot?? Is that real? What if I am underage and living in the dorm (no alcohol or other substances are allowed)?

There is rampant underage drinking at Cal, both inside and outside the Greek community. From my experience, most girls in the Greek community do drink, but not all to the same degree, and I know PLENTY of women who rarely or never drink. No one in my chapter looks down on them at all. In fact, chapters need sober monitors at all exchanges and invites, so if you want to go out but don't want to drink, you're doing your social chair a huge favor! Regardless, there is MUCH more to the Greek community than psrtying. Plenty of girls in my chapter don't party at all. It's such a small fraction of what being a Cal Greek is about, so if that's not your thing, then don't feel like you can't join this community.
