Happy bid day girlies! I would suggest not going on this site for a week and enjoying your new sisters! I know rush was tough this year but don’t let it get you down, all the sororities are great and if it feels like you’re not sure of your choice yet, that’s totally normal considering you only got to meet these groups a few times, it’s ok to not be totally in love and I hate the way people act like your gonna go to a few parties talk to a handful of girls in a very loud room and know exactly what you want. It sets expectations too high when in reality getting to know people can take time like any friendship.
But anyway, there’s going to be a lot of negative talk the next few days, there already has been, and it’s going to be coming from girls who are bitter because they got dropped from rush or the house they wanted or girls trying to put other sororities down to make theirs look better. Looking through the posts on this site it’s clear people are doing that, and a sorority last year did the same thing blowing up GR and yik yak talking about how their PC, which didn’t hit quota, was just soo much better than certain other sororities. y’all need to understand it’s not reality, the same person could post 100 times under a different name on a site like this or yik yak. Reality is what happens in the real world, so have a great bid day.

They haven’t all pre picked their girls, and it’s not like entire PCs are picked but some sororities dirty rush much more heavily and have an idea of who they want. But it’s not like those groups can tell panhel like yeah we know who we want we’re just not gonna do recruitment this year. There are plenty, honestly most, sororities here that don’t do that that are just as worth joining, but some girls only wanna be top tier, and they tend to be in for a rude awakening

You’re right. I’m sure not all are pre picked and likely Panhel knows they’re doing it but choose to ignore. So Rush becomes a charade. It seems that in this day and age ppl would strive to do better and be better humans, but in reality it’s quite the opposite. That is part of the issue that perpetuates the negative sorority stereotype.

Too many girls just need to have open minds. Two groups including chi o and deeph didn’t even make quota today and did snap bids. That just shows it’s not another chapter we need it’s open minds. And no video rounds. Informal rush to come and girlies can rush again next year if they dropped this year.

Yess I highly encourage people to do informal rush, it’s not the same as formal recruitment and you never know, you may have met the wrong people during formal and find a group you fit in with. I’m assuming chi o will do it since they didn’t meet quota and pi phi because they are still working up to total, but other chapters could be involved too

True but there’s a line between actual criticism and a lot of the really negative things people say about some groups for no reason. Criticizing the process is one thing, saying “oh chio is strange” or “SDT is actually not hot” or “I hated ADPI and their insta is full of beasts” is in no way gonna make any process better, and those are the comments people are gonna see that make them second guess themselves and feel crappy. The process this year was horrible, but that doesn’t make super mean anon comments valid and girls that stuck it out need to understand that those types of comments don’t reflect real life.
and honestly, yes videos sucked, but the sororities that cut people for superficial things were going to do that either way. Yes it’s bad. If you got dropped by a top sorority for the videos odds are even with an open house round you still would have, their pledge classes have been picked before rush in most cases. I don’t feel bad for the people that get tri delt, chio, Pi phi back and then talk about how weird they are or how unfair rush is because they thought they were top tier girls, and don’t realize EVERYONE here is hot, has good grades, involved etc. and sadly those are a lot of the people that complain about rush, because they had options but think they are too good for them or don’t click with the 3 girls they talk to during sisterhood so it must all be terrible
