Perception or Reality?

Based on what I've seen and heard from friends that have gone through rush in previous years, this year seems really strange.

My best conversations have been with Deeph and Chi-O...I know, right?

It was hard to talk to people at what I thought would be my top choice heading into rush and I wound up dropping them.

I was dropped by one that I thought I might vibe with the most, and I dropped another because their recruiting seemed so over the top and just out of place. It's been really hard to tell if what they want me to see is really what I will see later-on.

Which means rush has kind of been a waste and I'm just going with what my friends had already told me.

I thought everyone was great in person and hated the whole "open house" / video thing. I would never rush this way again and would suggest waiting until you personally get to know people from each sorority first...so maybe wait until you are a sophomore.
