Honest frat rankings 2022 by senior in srat.

I am a senior at UM in a top 2 sorority. I have been to all the frats numerous times throughout my four years here. Here is the general consensus on frat rankings. Don’t get upset if you don’t like hearing the truth, there’s not 5 top tier frats at a school with only 10 frats.. I will be reviewing and ranking the relevant frats:
top tier
sigep (has been the top house at um since my freshman year here. Best parties, nicest and hottest guys that know how to have fun. Ep always has had a really good rep on campus. I didn’t go to ep until I was in a sorority (they threw too many closed events with the top sororities) and then realized why everyone considers them the top house. Most liked frat by top 3 sororities.
sig chi (getting a little worse year after year. Fun frat that knows how to have a good time. Still think they are a top tier house but they are definitely getting a little worse the past few years. The consensus I’ve been hearing is that the chi guys are creepy / unsocial but every time i’ve been to chi i’ve had a good time. Chi is still a top tier fraternity at miami that pairs with the top 4 sororities)
mid tier
pikapp (they are fun to go to freshman year, after that not really. don’t pair with the top sororities (only once in a blue moon) they do throw a few good tailgates every year. definition of a mid tier frat.)
sae (sae was never a top tier house at um, every year they continued to get weird pcs. I remember freshman year the consensus was they had a lot of weird guys, i’ve met a lot of weird sae’s myself, especially in recent pc’s, on the decline as a whole. Parties have always been mid and never as fun as top tier. I would say that pikapp’s parties are more fun and better then sae’s, i only really go to parties if no one in the top tier is throwing.)
bottom tier
beta (bottom tier frat. beta throws a decent amount of parties, they are not a bad time at all, but nothing compared to top tier and mid frats. guys are not that cute, and they continue to get average pledge classes, there parties have became better throughout the years though. On the rise.)
phi delt (honestly the phi delts are really nice guys, i don’t hate going to phi delt but their parties never pop. Bottom tier frat.)
honorable mention
aepi (aepi was horrible when i first came to um, they definitely got a lot better. on the rise still a bottom frat here.
pike (pike cares more then any other greek org about their “status” when in reality there parties are not even comparable to top tiers and there pledge classes are weird guys. No relevant sororities like them, Pike won’t be relevant for at least the next 10-15 years at um)

Funny thing is the "top" srats here are no names in the rest of the country while the others are the most prestigious with the biggest networks. Once you're out of college no one cares anyway but at least with the other srats you have the potential to use that network to your advantage.

I understand it is cringe how this post keeps emphasizing that she’s in a “top” sorority, but in all honesty these ranking and descriptions are pretty accurate. If a kid comes to miami from Bama or a SEC school, they wouldn’t think that frats 4/8 frats here are all “top houses”. Realistically ep is and maybe chi classify as a top house by what they throw, status(in pairings), culture, and the guys they have in each house.

Yep, peeps in deeph zeta sdt and adpi all know these are the true ranking. This is where we prefer to go in order.

I’m inclined to agree with the above. OP on the other hand seems pretty obsessed with rankings, the real world will not be fun for her when she realizes no one cares that she was in a top tier sorority

SigEp is committed to being a different kind of fraternity – one that recognizes the importance of the out-of-classroom experience and is committed to making that experience the safest and most empowering part of a college male’s life. SigEp is unique in that our brotherhood and all fraternity events are alcohol and substance free by choice. The brothers feel that the brotherhood we are constantly striving to build does not require alcohol to exist. The chapter also works to encourage other fraternities toward eradicating dangerous and illegal alcohol consumption.
