Rushing as as transfer

All the frats have brothers of color, just not that many. This isn't because they want to keep diversity low (untrue stereotype), the truth is not many POC rush frats here for whatever reason. If you have good talks with the brothers and get invited out during rush week you will almost definitely get a bid. The transfer thing should not be a problem either. If you're sociable and express your desire to be one of the bros then you'll be one.

I’d agree with the above, I know Poc in all the frats and they all take transfers. Though I’m a girl and white so I don’t have the experience to say it won’t matter (though I really really hope it doesn’t) I don’t think either of those things would be a dealbreaker except that some frats may lean toward freshman because they pay dues for longer so I recommend rushing in fall. It’s more about vibe- if you’re not rich there’s certain frats you may not vibe with, and if you are stuck up it’s the same cuz they all take different kinds of dudes, but they’re all pretty diverse demographically.

Slightly harder because some feats go for freshman to get the extra dues money, but transfers rush all the time you should be fine if you keep your options open
