HIV is not around

Priepke said it himself, he can’t report any individual names but he can disclose whether there has been any positive tests.

Our chapter president has been in contact recently and not a single reported case of HIV has been reported in the Greek life community at UM. He would be the first to be notified.

rumor or not I think everyone should get tested and be careful. I know i sound lame asf but HIV is super serious and lifelong and its better to be safe then to take chances.

I wouldn’t put it past some of the people working at UM to break the rules (what rules?!) but discussion of someone’s HIV status can be a HIPAA violation if you are employed by school/in a medical capacity... if you hear something that might be a HIPAA violation, you really ought to report it. All you can do to safeguard is use protection/preventive medication, trust who you are sleeping with well enough, ask for test results from frequent, and get tested yourself.
