I think that they have a lot of potential since they seem to have a lot of alum support and a decent amount of girls since this years rush was terrible. I feel like they have an upper hand cause they have heir own way of recruiting vs the way the other sororities did so I’m excited to see what happens. I say go for it!

They do have potential but this is def a recruiter. As weird as rush was this year (I think it was wrong of panhel to make day one a video, that wasn’t fair) every sorority got a great pc.

I posted this before but someone paid to take it down, so here’s the thing. It really depends on how you feel about the pi phi process and if you really see yourself there or if you still are hesitant once you finish the process. If you really like it, definitely go for it. If you are unsure, you will have the option to rush them in the fall where you can actually meet their girls and see if you like them. Pi phi definitely has potential, but don’t go in with the mind that you may rush again because if you take a bid from them you probably can’t COB in the fall and would have to wait til spring, where formal would be harder because you had already dropped a sorority. Since there are no big events this semester, nobody who waits is missing out on a whole lot anyway, but with that being said it can be a good way to make friends

I'm in a chapter here already but my best friend was a founding member of her sorority at a large state school.

Being a founding member can be an amazing experience but you need to make sure it's what you want:

1) It's a great idea if you want leadership because you're setting the tone for your new chapter
2) No established rep on campus. This can be a good thing or bad thing depending on who you are
3) It takes a lot of work to make the chapter successful. Founding members do drop when they realize how much work it is. But the work can be so rewarding
4) You'll have way more oversight from nationals than an established chapter would. Again, this can be a good or bad thing
5) Sometimes founding chapters feel a bit random because nationals is picking. They're also picking a range of years so that they have more established girls vs all freshmen

Hope that helps!
