It's been said. Everyone is #1 in their own books. Probably 50% or more of the people voting on here are boosting their own rep/bringing other competitors' down.

That being said, Pike and ZBT are known for being love or hate. Nothing wrong with that. Beta, Sig Chi, SAE, Sammy, Sig Ep, and Sammy are all more laid back and therefore hard to differentiate in quality. Try a few of the more laid back ones and either ZBT or Pike or both. If you like Pike and ZBT attitude, stick with it. If not, find a more classic fraternity type frat like the ones mentioned.

Nothing wrong with AEPi and Phi Delt but they're not respected by most.

Went to the Pi Kap rush events for a little and the guys were not very impressive. Rushes were a pretty big group of tools. If you really want, check it out. Not worth it though..

im new in dg as of a year ago and noticed something. the school seems to love dg because were very hot. the school as a whole seems to dislike pike a little. pike is considered one of the best because of dg. if dg and pike fall out at all then pike will not be the same frat. i love the guys but their popularity largely comes from our popularity.

Anchorgirl: Pike is the OLDEST organization at UM and has dominated the campus since 1926 long before any sororities were formed. UM's first student formed the chapter. On another note, girls don't really help win President's Cup every year.

I think that Pike by far had the best pledge class this year and then maybe sigma chi

In response to best pledge class.. Pike had their typical macho good looking guys, but call me weird I was impressed by pi kappa phi. For not being here at all last year they brought in some pretty cute guys

Rank Fraternity Pledge classes and pair fraternities with sororities stereotypically

That creates negative reviews/ratings on this website. What does someone who is on top do? Whether it's in their head, or actually true in the popular belief, the natural inclination is to maintain the status quo. If negative reviews are coming from illegitimate sources, which they undoubtedly are in at least a few cases, some guys feel like they need to make their appearance on sites like this look better. If your frat got a small group of rushes because some people read the rejected rushes' negative reviews of that frat, wouldn't you be pissed?

Explaining Pike's low number of ratings isn't difficult. They have very well-known ties with DG. DG is the hottest sorority, unanimously, before this pledge-class, so therefore, they have a constant. They don't need ratings. On top of that, their reputation is what attracts many of the pledges to the frat. Their reputation is what people use against them and they use for themselves. Why change what benefits you?
