fundraising by sororities

Besides the dues costs to be in a sorority, how much fundraising to the sororities require? Any require more or less than the others? Are they upfront about this at recruitment?

my sorority for example is not super straight forward about this but will answer if you ask. we don’t have any fundraising in the fall but for our spring event i think the minimum is $150 to participate, but i promise it’s not that difficult! i got probably 3x that just emailing my parents friends. and donating to frat philanthropies is up to you. good luck during recruitment!

My sorority doesn’t really talk about this during recruitment but we don’t have individual fundraising requirements as of now! We have a chapter goal for the semester and can set individual goals and try to reach them. We have a list of requirements to go to formal, so donating extra to frat philanthropy or raising money toward ours can take the place of other point requirements

The whole point of being in a sorority is for raising money for charity. Not for partying with frat boys so if you’re asking this question then you probably shouldn’t join a sorority.
