coming from someone who joined deeph w absolutely no friends in the sorority it's virtually impossible to make any friends. the girls are extremely cliquey and don't give u the time of day (they don't even wave at you walking by) if you aren't in a friend group
pro is that there is never any shortage in social events throughout the week and the girls know how to party that's really all i can think of

I joined sdt my freshman year and the minute i prioritized my grades over going to every social event or being a part of the club scene so I could stay at this school, my "sisters" excluded me immediately, and no one wanted to associate with me. It's great for the clout on instagram, the popularity among fraternities, but there's no real sisterhood or any regard for actually working hard in school. I'm all for partying don't get me wrong, but there's a problem when you aren't realistic.

I went through with the recruitment process and tried to keep an open mind (which can be difficult considering recruitment is 2nd semester). As someone who had a great rush process (I didn't get dropped by any I didn't choose to drop if that makes sense), I was really surprised. Honestly Tri Delt, Adpi, and Zeta are very similar in my opinion. To me Tri Delt was the most authentic and real girls. They also raised more money for their philanthropy ( over $100k ST JUDE #FTK!!) than any other sorority who typically raised $10k-40k. It's a very diverse group of girls, and I honestly feel very accepted. I have never been peer pressured or forced to behave or look a certain way like some other sororities makes their members do. I know girls in both DEEPH and SDT and they're nice but honestly those sororities are overall focused on image and status which is honestly overrated.

Joined chi o during formal recruitment, it wasn’t my first choice going in but ended up being one of my favorites and the girls who rushed me have ended up being some of my closest friends. I joined because I loved the people and I already had a good social life and was turning 21 so wasn’t really worried about that aspect, but honestly I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun all my new sisters were. A huge pro is that everyone really cares about each other and there’s so many girls with different backgrounds, different religions, and from different countries but we all come together as sisters to support each other. At this point most of my closest friends are girls from my PC, and every weekend I find myself either asking one person if they want to go out and ending up with ten pregaming at my place or with someone hitting me up asking what I’m doing and inviting me to something, whether it’s a table at a club or a quiet day at the beach. Ya we might not have the best rep, which is sadly why I was shocked when so many of my sisters were actually absolutely gorgeous, but it’s a great sisterhood and I’ve never had a problem finding a sister to go with me to the gym, the club, a party, or even the library.

I went through rush freshman year with a closed mindset and thought i would follow my friends. I ended up going zeta with nearly no one i was close to and now i love it. The girls party and study hard. No pressure to do anything and everyone is friendly and wants to get to know you. Real girls. Cons are more rules from nationals.
