It’s so much more relaxed than formal. You do need to be invited to participate in informals, but basically you just go in and chat with sisters. Less organized discussions and smaller groups of people. Sometimes they have an activity like cookie decorating or something to do while you’re there. Sorry you got dropped, hope it works out! :)

Informal is my favorite because its so much more chill and its not so cut throat like formal recruitment (which is honestly psychologically damaging) You will probs just grab lunch or coffee with one or two sisters and just talk and chill. Some sororities will probs be tabling out in the breezeway or at the rock so keep an eye out for them. Hope you find your home!

Basically informal depends on how many girls are in the chapter, so if a sorority has a lower than average amount of members because seniors graduated or people are abroad or drop or whatever they’ll do informal to pick up more people. All of the chapters I think have done it at some point in the last few years and I think adpi, chi o, and tri Delt do it every semester. I think for the most part adpi and tri Delt do it on the down low and just recruit friends of members. Chi o is pretty open about it and their informal process is basically frat rush where anyone can go meet the girls and come to an event and then theyll extend bids to who they like. Also if you were dropped from recruitment you can probably still text you RC for info.

I know zeta did informal last year will they do it this year but how would I find out about it/ how would I bring up informal if I saw them in the breezeway without it being weird
