# of frats

What's a good number of frats to rush? Don't want to spread myself too thin/not have enough options.

If you’re rushing places you genuinely would be a good match for, 2-3. This year might be a little more competitive though so maybe a little more if you’re unsure

Scrap that, 2-3 is probably not best for freshman. I’d say rush as many as you can but the ones that you do rush, rush fully otherwise you probably won’t get a bid

Go to the barbecue and to talk to the guys at the tables from every frat you have an interest in or are curious about. Then decide which few you will decide to rush which means you will spend your time at most or all of their events. I would say at the most have 4 options after the barbecue because you will be exhausted going from one frat to another and you will be tired from having the same conversation over and over again. From the four you pick have maybe one reach, two frats you will have a good chance of getting a bid from and one safety. Then as rush goes on you will see if you are getting the bids you want or if you will have to resort to your safety/go geed.

Only rush 3 frats. Sig Ep Sig Chi and SAE. Anywhere else isn't worth the hazing
