the sad truth

I am from a top tier southern fraternity with many friends at UM in frats and honestly I am very disappointed in UM greek life. Here are my observations take them as u want.
1. You guys don't haze enough. Getting into a fraternity should be a process in which you truly will take a bullet for your brothers. Without hazing and pledging, this cannot be accomplished. As far as I am concerned only real pledging comes from three frats and frats like sig ep/SAE are social clubs.
2. Status is too important to you all when it shouldn't. At my huge school it doesn't matter whether your frat is top upper middle or middle bc it doesn't determine if you get girls or have fun. This is how it should be.
3. Sororities are not a thing here. They are just clubs with rich girls. Sorry but its true and the only realistically top sorority has been kicked off.
In the end, I hope you all change this. Be better than u are now.

youre the biggest loser ever if you know that much about another schools greek life. also hazing isn't cool, its for kids who got bullied in middle school.
although I do agree that status, mostly financial, is emphasized too much, but that is only by a small percentage of greek members. But instead of worrying about that, how about you just try being a likable and facey person? you will eventually meet people you like and girls will flock, just like in any stage of life
