Not sure what you mean by acoustic version. They're both top tier frats. They're both full of dbags. They tend to date girls in similar friend groups.

But they're definitely different. Sig Ep cares waayyyy more about your dad's net worth, foreign business, boat or prep school lacrosse. Sig Chi basically insists that you're from LI/Jersey and your high school football highlight tape is fire. Sig Chi is more involved on campus and has a lot more unity in their brotherhood because they're all basically the same guy. Sig Ep in general dgaf about the bros and throw better parties. Sig Chi bids guys they like. Sig Ep bids kids girls like. Sig Ep rush is more superficial than most sororities. Sig Chi encourages male hair gel usage.

If you're the ultimate dbag you might get bids to both and decide what particular brand of douche suits you better.

Sig Ep is barely even a frat. It's more of a loose social group made up of junior members of a country club or yacht club than a normal college fraternity.

To their credit they found a formula that works for them here. Bid friendly "upscale" guys top tier girls consider good looking who already pull, have them get shredded for their pledge semester, and put a massive focus on having the best pool parties at the school.

If you measure Sig Ep by girls and parties they're number 1. When it comes to brotherhood, unity, involvement they're meh. They're basically really good guys who joined Greek life for all the wrong reasons. Or are pulling tail and raging actually the only valid reasons to join?

Sigma Chi would be top house at Rutgers, Cuse, Penn State, Indiana, Michigan. They're a very strong Northern/guido chapter. Sig Ep would be the top chapter at USC, Tulane, UPenn, BU, NYU and more flashy city/international rich kid schools. Both would be laughably out of place at an old school traditional Greek system in the SEC or Texas.
