Hey guys! I'm an incoming student at UM and I'm considering rushing in the spring! How's the greek scene here in general and what do sororities look for during recruitment? Is it super competitive like the Deep South or more laid back? Thanks!

honestly it's pretty laid back since all top tier's dirty rush, so if you have no connections and are looking to be in deeph or sdt you wont be dirty rush is huge

lol I don't care about tier just wondering in general what everyone cares about during rush (looks, grades, insta, partying, whatever). So the rest of recruitment is pretty cool if you aren't worried about being at the top?? Or do a lot of people get dropped everywhere?

partying is a major no, whatever you do do not talk about it, makes you seem like youre trying to hard, stay away from the three b's: booze, boys, bars but if ur not worried about tier then you'll find ur place

rush is really laid back just be yourself and see who you click with the most. Sure there is a gpa cutoff but other than that its more about connecting with the girls you talk to

Not super competetive like the deep south. As long as you are friendly and be yourself, and keep an open mind you’ll end up in the right place!

Just don't even worry about "official" rush. If you're hot just link up with the Organization Formerly Known as DG in the Fall. Hang out at Sig Ep/Chi parties and date one of the guys in those two frats and you'll be set.

Nice to see DG out there in full force on greekrank. Don’t join this ~underground society~ their nationals and the uni aren’t gonna be having any of it. Join a real sorority
