I'm thinking about joining pike but because it's new back on campus I dont really know the ranking, thoughts?

Pike will be like whatever people they recruited. Since they are just starting, they are taking quantity over quality meaning there is gonna be a very diverse group of people. This is not necessarily good because they need to establish themselves and getting all these guys on the same page about the type of fraternity they want to be is going to be tough and take years. You will have to put in a lot of work and be willing to do it for the people after you because most likely you will not see the benefit in your time. Thats with any new frat.

How does the bidding process for pike work? Do you just interview and they give you a bid right there?

If you're joining a fraternity for its "rank" you're missing the point. PIKE isn't interested in tiers, it's doing its own thing.
