do i need to know kids to rush?

Hey I’m transferring to Miami this spring semester. Tbh im a wealthy kid from the northeast and I have always played sports/been into sports (sounds douchey I know). From reviews i think Sammy or sig chi would be a good fit, but is it gonna be a hard time getting a bid if I don’t know anyone? I’m already coming in the middle of the year not knowing my own grade
