date functions??

Hey guys. I'm thinking of transferring to UM in the fall. I'm currently a Sig Delt. I'm wondering how Greek life is here?? i know the Miami scene, bar life and beach life are pretty big, but does the greek life still do much? Do you guys still have big frat parties, mixers and date functions? I can't get a sense of how big it is here. I know it's not like alabama or ole miss, but I still want to have date functions, and mixers etc.

I'm a freshman who just joined greek life and honestly, I think greek life here is great. It's not overwhelming and its definitely not necessary in order to be "social". I like to think of it this way: you get to choose just how involved you want to be. There are mixers and date functions, frats are constantly throwing things, it's never boring. You'll definitely get your date functions and mixers, and SDT here is full of great girls!

there are date functions and mixers? i heard that most of the events are really just going to bars and the beach. but are there actually a decent amount of mixers/dfuncs? i would be really sad if i lost that transferring.

Delta Gamma, Dphie and SDT are top here. i think they actually have a ton of mixers and date functions
