when?
by: high school studentHi. I'm currently a senior in high school and have recently been accepted into UNCW. I'm really interested in being a part a sorority in college, but I'd really like to just focus on my school freshman year so I can just kind of get into the swing of things. Is it weird for girls to not rush until their sophomore year? Will it ruin my chances?

Not at all. At other schools it might be but not here. A lot of girls go through recrutiment as sophomores and even a good number of juniors. But if your interested I would definetly recommend rushing as a freshman! It's a good way to make friends and branch out and it's nice to have a support network when your in a new city and new school. Sororites all have certain GPA's you have to maintain and mine has study hours for new members.
