sororities to join, even if you're kind of nerdy

So I have heard that the UNCW campus sororities are diverse, but are they also welcoming to girls who are rather nerdy and tomboyish? (Think: Comics and Video Games)
I plan on attending UNCW in fall and want to join a sorority, however I am always rejected from girly activities (Think:Cheer) and am slightly afraid of not getting a bid.

To be frank with you FutureSeahawk when you go through recruitment you need to keep an OPEN mind. Yeah, some sororities won't exactly like you, and you might not like them either however you need to go through recruitment willing to make effort to get to know some of these girls. Categorizing yourself as "nerdy and tomboyish" is fine but just keep in mind that every sorority has diverse girls who might or might not fit the campus' reputation. Go with your gut and if they like you and you like them then pref them.
Do -not- be afraid to not get a bid. Go into it being yourself and just know that everything happens for a reason.
