rushing as a sophmore

Hey. I wanted to rush a sorority this coming semester but I have a 2.7 GPA right now. The required GPA to rush is a 2.5. Should I still try or wait for second semester sophomore year? Or is that too weird to rush THAT late.

I would rush in the fall because most sororities don’t do spring rush and your choices will be really limited
