losing charter

Say a recent fraternity looses their charter. Since they are no longer affiliated with the fraternity can they re pledge another one and become initiates?

if you got initiated to the fraternity that got kicked off campus, you cannot pledge another one

Actually you can, but first you must become de-affiliated from your current fraternity and to do this you must report it to nationals.
