by: New pnmHi, I'm going to be rushing in the fall and just wondering what 'casual' and 'dressy-casual' imply at UCSD sorority rush? Maybe some examples of them? :p just a little worried about how to dress haha thanks

Don't even worry about it. There are tons of interpretations of "casual" and "dressy casual" and the girls know that.
First night is usually shorts or jeans and a cute top. No heels, but you can wear boots or sandals or whatever. Think what you would wear if you were going to coffee with a friend.
Second night is just a little dressier. Skirt maybe, still no heels, maybe boots or sandals still. Just a touch dressier than the first night. Think what you would wear to a friend's birthday dinner.
Third night, maybe wear a casual summery dress, and small heels if you want to. Or a skirt like the previous night. Again, whatever you have that is just a little dressier than the previous night. So think of maybe a friend's birthday out instead of a dinner.
The last night is totally formal. Dress and heels, that sort of thing (but if you're not comfortable in heels wear other dressy shoes). So think wedding, or a classier version of homecoming.
Recruitment is all about you! So these are just general guidelines- we want to see your personal style and interpretation of the nights. No one is going to judge you if you're wearing a cute dress on the casual day- if that's your interpretation of casual, wear it! The chapters want to get to know YOU, so don't worry too much about the clothes on your back.
Good luck and have fun!!
