advice for pnms
by: girlif you want the real traditional frat experience that you would get at a state school (hazing, parties, girls) rush pike. since sigchi, they’re top house and associate closely with piphi and aphi. best parties/girls/alumni. if you’re more laid back and kickbacks/small parties is your thing, rush tke. even after their sa allegations, they get great girls and have good relations with piphi, kkg, dg. #2 house but way above the rest of the field. they lean into being the “non fratty” frat which appeals to lots of guys. if you don’t make the cut for those, go for snu and then fiji, they’re the lite version of the top 2. still decent but your girls/alumni/parties will all be noticeably worse. if you want an even more toned down version of these 4, rush sigep or lambda, and if you’re attracted to any other fraternity besides the ones listed then you’re probably not the target rush for the top houses.

Pike and tke are most recognized on campus, while they are different they tend to attract higher quality guys looking for a “frat” experience at UCSD. They have the best sorority relationships and continue to dominate in IFC sports. When rushing I would stick to these two and make a decision based on the actives you meet. Regardless of what people think these two chapters have a lot of friends within each other even though they compete for the “top house” status year after year.

no u geed. TKE is still relevant to the sororities that matter. if you’re in theta or chio or some other mid sorority, you need to realize that you are not the target audience of TKE/PIKE and the other relevant fraternities. stick to your k sig boys
