Phi Sigma Rho - ΦΣΡ Sorority at University of California, San Diego - UCSD 1.8 Nice girls but they really are not apart of the greek community. They barely participate in anything. The only time i see them is greek week and their philanthropy. There are plenty of stem majors in normal sororities that get the full sorority experience while still succeeding in their classes and being leaders in their community. This is basically sorority lite. As an engineer I dont see any benefits of joining this chapter over a real one. They are nice girls though.

Engineering major here who used to be a part of the chapter. It's true, there's no benefit besides you're with a group of other science and engineering majors. They don't have workshops or anything. Better off joining a professional frat/student org for academics

A lot of pre-professional frats at UCSD are like this. They advertise that they have a great network of professionals and resources but in fact it's not that great and you don't realize until after you cross.

the purpose of their chapter is social in nature, they don't advertise business / professional development.
