recruitment

So if I went to orientation and I met the sorority I want to join do I still have to go through recruitment and meet the others? The one I want to join has girls I know from my high school.
Can I just straight join into a sorority? like is there another way around? I guess this is a question for Panhellenic. Thank you! I don't really want to meet the others.

no there is no "other way around" you sound like an idiot. you have to visit all the houses or guaranteed you will get dropped from ALL the houses. and fyi those few friends of yours in whatever sorority do not make up the whole chapter, theres 100+ girls so you might want them but they can drop you in a hot second

Sigh freshmen. Just because you know which one you want doesn't mean they want you. Just because you have friends in that sorority doesn't garuntee you a bid. Like the person above said, it's a CHAPTER decision not just five people. Just because girls in the sorority are friends with you doesn't mean they can see you as a sister. You'll hear this term later a lot once you're in Greek and on the other side of recruitment "she's a friend, not a sister"
