think about your future

don't pick a sorority because they are a "top" sorority at UCR. IT DOESN'T MATTER. UCR greek system is a joke compared to all other colleges anyways.
If you look at alumni from the "top" sororities at UCR, you will notice most of them are from/grew-up/and will STAY in the IE... the freaking IE!!!!!
Look deeper ladies!! You can either choose "cute"sorority (for UCR) or pick quality ladies that you can count on to be successful later in life.

I sort of agree with this. Obviously, pick the sorority you naturally get along with. I would take into consideration what the actual organization can do you for in your lifetime.
I know Kappa and DG have really strong alumni circles (whereas Gamma Phi has a non existent one). Being a Kappa, DG, or ADPi can help with jobs after college (especially in LA).

There's no truer statement delivered above than this. Choose one that will help benefit your future and choose one that you believe can truly help you grow as a person. There's no point in spending so much money if you're not doing it for any reason besides buying friends. Think of which chapter that can help you grow in terms of maturity and emotionally. That can be like giving you a chance to have more hands on experience through philanthropy. What can you help contribute to that chapter and what can that chapter do to help you? Being superficial and focusing on the cute clothes and aesthetics is cute and great and all but that's somewhat easy for everyone to do in this day and age. Being able to really Grow as a person for the next four years is harder. There's A LOOOTTT of girls who are seniors or juniors that still act like they're in like high school. On the other hand though, also keep in mind to choose one that most naturally feels like home and you can talk to so easily without any awkwardness. In a way, we all want that sisterhood and it all goes back to what you chose as your most important values. Your Future, How you can Grow as a person, Values, and Sisterhood should all taken in consideration for what defines for you where your home is.
And just to add yall seem to forget about Pi Phi. pi beta Phi has a very strong alumni circle in the OC region and in the Southern areas of the States like Texas if you plan on moving after graduating. but still i can only confirm for sure in the OC. Sisters bump into alumni all the time in the OC areas and we even introduce each other and help get connections to new jobs because we all understand and share the same values. we have over 300 alumni foundations across US and Canada too. PPL PRIDE #shamelessadvertising but true facts. also for those of you who are into poli sci, a fun trivia fact is that Barbara Bush was also a Pi Phi.
So Good luck with recruitment pnms. hope you find your home.

Very true post. In California, the best and largest sororities in California are Kappa, DG, and ADPi.
The reputation during 4 years in college only lasts 4 years. The ranking changes constantly. Being part of a larger network of successful alumni is just as valuable as being in a “top” house at UCR. The truth is the experience is not that different whether you’re top house or bottom at UCR. It’s not like there’s huge houses or any parties that are exclusive to certain sororities. It’s literally all the same.
Gamma Phi, AXO, Sigma Kappa, Pi Phi have much weaker of a network outside of UCR.
