turned off

by:

Should I even bother rushing if I'm not being "dirty rushed" by sororities? I was really looking forward to recruitment, but honestly this dirty rushing stuff is such a turn off. I don't like that I'm going to have to go through awkward "hi, my name is...my major is..." conversations with people I've never seen in my life while other girls already know all the girls in a house. I don't like that I have to worry about the impression I'm going to make while other girls are gonna breeze by because they know they're practically in. I don't follow anyone from any house on social media because I didn't want to base my first impressions off of their instagrams. I'd much rather actually try to get to know the girls in a house first, which is what I thought recruitment was about but I guess not. It's probably best if I don't bother. I come from a family of alpha phis so I guess riverside isn't really my scene as far as rush goes anyway.

go through rush if you want to join a chapter and if you want sisterhood. why are you letting dirty rush ruin your possibilities of finding a home? hundreds of girls go thru recruitment, not all of them are dirty rushed and a dirty rush does not guarantee a bid-- sometimes chapters find out things they wished they did not know about a girl lol

You should definitely still go to recruitment! You won't be the only one who doesn't hasn't been dirty rushed. Many of the other girls will probably know as many people as you do.
