in regards to top houses

I have been a member of a sorority for four years now and I have watched every single chapter on this campus grow. There are no top houses here, there is just simply different organizations that do different philanthropies. These organizations are amazing and beautiful all in their own way. I have friends in every single sorority and I love all them. Everyone knows that this website really only has 15-20 trolls who just come on here and try to make something happen when nothing is happening. If you come out to letters you can see everyone talking to each other, there is no bashing there is no hate like there is on here. We do not live in the south, we do not have Greek houses/row. To me, honestly, we're all the same. If you're rushing try to see which house is the cool one for you to go in. If you're a guy go out and experience all the frats don't listen to people who say these guys are losers. No one cares. If you're a girl, please go and find the house YOU like. Not what people say is top or who has the nicest stuff or prettiest girls or anything dumb like that. Stop with the bs

I'm a fraternity guy that has been part of Greek Life at UCR for 4 years as well, and everything in this post if true. After four years, you realize that the concept of "top house" is just bs. People come and go, what fraternity or sorority may be top now, may not be so tomorrow. Focus on making your Greek experience at UCR memorable, meet people, support other philanthropies, and most importantly make a positive difference on campus and encourage others to go Greek, even if they don't end up choosing your fraternity or sorority, it's always great to have close friends in other chapters.

I've been a part of greek for three years now, I can say that this is probably the only true post on this website. When i first joined my sorority, DTD was amazingly cool and everyone wanted to be a part of it, however now it has changed and not in a bad way at all, but they're more mellowed out. Where as PIKE became HUGE last year. However, now they aren't as big, so another fraternity is rising. It's fun to be a part of a campus where every fraternity comes and goes but basically they are all the same. All have great guys, some not so great. Its what each fraternity members make of the chapter. Same goes for sororities. Some girls will always party and then get the rep that that specific sorority is a party one. Another sorority will have a lot of girls be mean to each other or only recruit "white girls". I would like to comment on behalf of all my panhellenic sisters that this is completely and utterly wrong. Don't base a couple of girls' actions as an entire chapters' problem. That is all. HAVE FUN PEOPLE.
