time for change!
by: 2016AU greek life is held back by the stupid restrictions on sororities. It's the only large greek life school that doesn't allow sorority houses. It's high time that we get a sorority row!

It has nothing to do with financial worth. It was put out to the sororities several years back and it was voted down. (You can research that if you really care enough to look.) There is nothing that prevents a group from requesting a vote of all the groups to the school to petition for houses. Now, if that passed, where would you put them? Land around the school is now so expensive it would be difficult to locate an area that would be convenient for all the sororities to be close to the campus and therefore security becomes an issue and also for the school to have control over a site (and that is at all colleges.) Financially, the alumni of AU are quite well off as can be researched once more if you care to check so money is not the issue, but land on campus is. Also, I think we all know that anyone interested in coming to Auburn would know about this situation, so the posts are either GR, other schools or uninformed students.

I agree we should be able to have sorority houses at AU. So many out of state kids are coming and want the "full experience" which in most parts of the country includes sorority houses. Bama has them and it is a big draw for them. Come on AU
