gpa requirement
by: heyheyAt auburn the gpa "requirement" is a 3.0. But, I was wondering if this was your weighted or unweighted gpa?
#1by: GPA
Each sorority has their own way of interpreting gpa. Most sororities require way above a 3.0.... No matter what the AU Pan website says or no matter what each sorority's national requirement says. The average incoming freshman Gpa at Auburn is increasing each year. My pledge class gpa average was 3.7.

Just like the above person said, each sorority looks at GPAs differently. Generally though most sororities require above a 3.0 and I believe this is unweighted. There are some sororities I have heard take 2.7 and above. As long as you have a 3.0 then I wouldn't worry too much about competing with "increasing GPA scores". Based on my experience and that of my friends, girls with a 3.0 have equally likely chances of getting into an awesome sorority as those girls with higher GPAs.

The selection of freshmen is based on ACT/SAT scores (29/1290 minimum), high school grade point average (3.75 minimum), the submission of an essay, and a record of leadership and service. Students already enrolled at Auburn who have a 3.4 unadjusted GPA may also be considered for admission.

The average ACT score at University of Alabama is 26. This score makes University of Alabama Moderately Competitive for ACT scores. The 25th percentile ACT score is 22, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 30.

If the GPA is high but the ACT is low, around a 25 or 26, will the GPA outweigh the ACT? Some people just do not test well.
