recs
by: PnmHow many recs are too many? I know of at least 8 girls in AGD that could write me a rec but I know that is way to many. Also, are recs from smaller schools considered less that recs from bigger schools? Example, if somebody I know went to Montevallo or South, would their rec not be considered as much as somebody who went to Auburn or Alabama where greek life is more prominent?

Eight is definitely too many. I would cap it off at three per chapter, personally. Yes, it would be better to have rec writers who went to bigger schools, especially Auburn. It also helps if your rec writers know you very well and will talk you up in their letters. Considering these two factors, I would choose three women to write your recs

But if an alum offers to write a rec, don't turn her down - that would be rude! Accept graciously, get her your photo, resume, and transcript, and write a thank-you note.
