so im a transfer freshman who will be attending AU fall 2015 and am concerned because my HS gpa was a 3.6; however, my first (and only)semseter at college i got a 2.8 before i had to leave for medical leave. are my chances of joining a sorority non-existant because of my low first semester gpa?

Have your rec letter writers explain in your recs your medical withdrawal. A college 2.8 is low, so be prepared for cuts, but you won't be eliminated for just that. Tell any friends in sororities what happened.
