fall rush

Is it bad to rush a fraternity as a sophomore? I couldn't in the fall and rushed in the spring just cause my friends wanted me too but I didn't have a serious interest in it and now I do. I'm looking to rush Sig ep, beta, and maybe pike and a couple others.

dont listen to the idiot above. I have plenty of friends who pledged top/big fraternities their sophomore year and loved it. Also, dont limit yourself to just a couple. Rush around and see where you fit in best.

They're willing to take guys as sophomores. You may be awesome, but most guys who rush as sophomores aren't and that's why they often don't get bids.

I know plenty of guys who pledge their sophomore year, some are my pledge brothers. Rushing your sophomore year is not a bad thing, and it all comes down to your personality and if you're likable to the other brothers. Since you're a sophomore rushing in the fall, the other brothers who are upper classmen will get more of a sense to see if this guy can be your friend and whatnot. I would say rush fraternities that you can see yourself in, but don't limit your options to just a few. Fall Rush is big and see multiple if you can.
